Deploys

A deploy puts one version of your service online. The old version answers until the new version is ready.

The old instance answers the requests.

A deploy is one release of a service. Ferry starts the new version next to the old version. Then Ferry moves the traffic.

If the new version fails, Ferry removes it. The old version stays online.

Start a deploy

ferry deploy api --follow

--follow shows the log until the deploy is live.

Delete a service

A delete removes the service and all that belongs to it. You cannot undo it.

The steps of a deploy

A deploy goes through six steps, from the queue to live.
