Delete a service

A delete removes the service and all that belongs to it. You cannot undo it.

The service web has a reference to api in its environment.

What Ferry removes

  • The containers of the service.
  • The images that Ferry built for it.
  • Its .
  • Its and its uploads.
  • Its deploy logs and job logs.
  • Its settings and variables.

You cannot undo a delete

The data on the disk of the service goes too.

If other services use it

Other services can have a to the service in their environment: ${{service.api.…}}. Then Ferry refuses the delete.

Terminal
ferry delete api --force

After a delete with --force, remove the reference from the other services. Until then, their deploys and restarts fail.
