Deploy hooks
A deploy hook is a secret URL. A request to this URL deploys the service.
Each service has one deploy hook. The request needs no API token, because the key is in the URL.
Use the hook
Terminal
$ ferry deploy-hook show apihttp://127.0.0.1:7878/hooks/deploy/srv-fd3c827106384b268113?key=9e15bc88e44747ea86477949fae877f8$ curl -X POST 'http://127.0.0.1:7878/hooks/deploy/srv-fd3c827106384b268113?key=9e15bc88e44747ea86477949fae877f8'The answer is 202, with a summary of the deploy in the queue. GET also works.
If the URL leaks
The URL is a password
Each person who has the URL can deploy the service. If the URL leaks, replace the key. The old URL stops immediately.
ferry deploy-hook rotate apiferry deploy-hook show makes the URL from the server address of the CLI. A CI system on another machine cannot reach 127.0.0.1. Give it an address that it can reach: the dashboard host with HTTPS. See Production setup.
A bad key and an unknown service id get the same answer: 401. See the API reference.
