Environment & env groups

A service gets its variables from Ferry, from env groups and from its own settings. Ferry resolves references at start.

Ferry adds its own variables first: PORT and FERRY_*.

Each service has its own environment variables. To share variables, put them in an env group and link the group to your services.

A value can be a reference to a datastore or to a different service: ${{…}}. Ferry puts the real value there when the service starts.

Connection limits

The proxy protects itself with limits on the number of connections and on the time that each one waits.
