Deploy a repository
Choose a repository and a branch of a connected account from a list, then deploy.
Account. Choose a connected account.
In the dashboard
Open the tab
Click + New service. Open Git repository → Connected account.
Choose the account
If you connected more than one account, choose the account. Add account connects one more.
Choose the repository
Search by owner or by name. Click the repository.
A private repository has a Private badge. You cannot choose a repository that has no commit.
Ferry fills the default branch and the name of the service, unless you typed a name.
Choose the branch
Open the Branch list. The default branch is first. You can also type the name of a branch that you did not push yet.
Deploy
Click Create and deploy. Ferry clones the repository with the account. The deploy log shows it:
==> Cloning with the GitHub account 'you'
==> Cloning from https://github.com/you/api.git (branch main)
==> Checked out d258434: Initial commitAuto-deploy is separate
A connection lets Ferry read repositories. It does not make the provider tell Ferry about a push. To deploy on each push, set up the GitHub webhook. Or call the deploy hook of the service from your CI.
The Repository URL tab accepts each git URL: a public repository, an SSH URL, or a path on the server. Its Branch list works the same way. If the URL is a private repository of a connected account, Ferry clones it with that account too.
