Datastores
The Datastores page creates PostgreSQL and Redis datastores and gives the reference that a service uses.
New datastore creates a PostgreSQL or Redis datastore.

The list
Each datastore is a card. The card shows the version, the private address, the status and the host port.
Filter the list by Type, or search.
Create a datastore
Click New datastore. Give the name, the kind and the version.
For PostgreSQL, you can also give a database name and a user. Memory and CPU limits are optional.
The page of a datastore
| Part | Content |
|---|---|
| Connection | Status, internal address, internal and external connection strings, username, password and database. Each value has a copy button. |
| Resources | The memory and CPU limits of the container. Apply limits changes the container immediately, with no restart. |
| Use in a service | The reference to paste, for example DATABASE_URL=${{datastore.app-db.connectionString}}. A table lists each property that you can reference. |
| Referenced by | The services that use the datastore in their environment, or in a linked env group. |
| Danger zone | Delete the datastore and its volume. |
A delete removes the data
After you delete a datastore, you cannot get its data back.
