Resume a service

A resume starts the instances of the live deploy again. There is no new deploy and no build.

The service is in the state suspended. The proxy answers 503.

To resume a service is to start its instances again from the live deploy. Ferry builds nothing.

If the image is gone

If the image of the live deploy does not exist now, Ferry refuses the resume. Then do a manual deploy with ferry deploy NAME or ferry up.

The manual deploy deploys the service. It resumes the service when the deploy is live.

Suspend a service

A suspend stops all the instances of a service. It deletes nothing.

Restart to apply changes

A restart is a new deploy of the live image with the current settings and variables.
