Domains of the server

A change of the domains of the server changes the routes, but it changes no container.

The domains of the server are in the database.

A gives a hostname to each public service. The has one route for each hostname.

The four operations

Each operation replaces the served set:

  • Connect a domain.
  • Verify a domain.
  • Promote a domain.
  • Disconnect a domain.

Ferry serves a connected domain only after the engine verifies it.

Errors of the proxy

When the proxy answers by itself, the response has an x-ferry-error header.

Verify a domain

The engine makes sure that a connected domain reaches this ferryd process before Ferry serves it.
